Core Responsibilities
- Carry out bricklaying, blockwork and masonry works.
- Read and follow construction drawings, plans and technical instructions.
- Prepare mortar, concrete and other construction materials.
- Lay bricks, blocks and other masonry materials accurately.
- Build and repair walls, partitions and other masonry structures.
- Measure, align and level structures to ensure accuracy.
- Cut and shape bricks and blocks when required.
- Prepare and maintain tools and equipment.
- Ensure work areas are clean and organized.
- Work closely with other construction professionals and site supervisors.
- Follow project schedules and instructions.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and site procedures.
- Report any technical or safety issues to the supervisor.
Essential Requirement
- Assist experienced workers with daily activities.
- Prepare and organize materials, equipment and work areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workplace.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and team leaders.
- Comply with health, safety and operational procedures.
- Perform other duties appropriate to the role.
Technical Requirements
- Experience with bricks, concrete blocks and other masonry materials.
- Knowledge of mortar preparation and application.
- Ability to use basic construction tools.
- Ability to measure, level and align masonry structures.
- Professional certification is an advantage.
